This year, a record-breaking 11 University of Rochester students and two alums have been awarded Fulbright U.S. Student Grants to advance their studies, perform research, and teach English abroad while serving as young ambassadors to their host countries. Faculty member Mary Jane Curry at the Warner School of Education was also selected for a Fulbright Scholarship to lecture and research in Chile. In addition, one student has been named an alternate to Bangladesh, and two additional students are waiting for their application results. Fulbright Scholarships, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, offer opportunities for career-launching study, teaching, and research abroad.
