Cheer on the Yellowjackets as they take on the Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers Sept. 21 in The Hillside Community Shield, a benefit men's and women's soccer double-header at Sahlen's Stadium (460 Oak St., Rochester).
Join University alumni, parents, and friends for a tailgate party hosted by the Friends of Rochester Athletics, and be sure to wear your Rochester spirit gear for an evening of family fun.
This is the second annual Rochester-RIT shield—a European-style charity tournament—to benefit the youth and families served by the Hillside Family of Agencies.
The women's soccer teams from RIT and Rochester will compete in the first match at 5 p.m., followed by the men's teams at 7:30 p.m. The tailgate will run from 6-7:30 p.m. and includes a buffet dinner catered by Red Osier.
Admission is $10 per person and includes the game tickets and tailgate party. A cash bar will be available. Children under 8 years old may attend for free.
Advance registration is required; tickets for the game will be distributed at the stadium. Click here to purchase tickets.
