Tuition for University of Rochester undergraduates in the College and the Eastman School of Music will be $46,150 in the 2014-15 academic year, a 3.5 percent increase from 2013-14.
Room and board will increase 4.4 percent this year to $13,638.
"The University is committed to moderating the rate of tuition and cost of attendance increases, while strengthening our position as one of the nation's leading research universities," said University President Joel Seligman.
"Providing financial assistance to meet the need of current and future students is a priority," said Seligman. For the 2014-15 academic year, the College has increased its commitment to student financial aid by 7.8 percent.
At the University's professional schools, the tuition rates for 2014-15 will be: $48,400 for the School of Medicine and Dentistry, a 4.1 percent increase; $59,660 for the School of Nursing's three semester accelerated program, a 3.3 percent increase; $50,820 for the Simon School of Business, a 3.5 percent increase; and $41,472 for the Warner School of Education, a 3.8 percent increase.
The University Board of Trustees approved these rates for all schools at its March meeting.
