Biography
Jacob Jorne studies energy conversion and storage, electrochemical engineering, fuel cells, lithium batteries, microelectronics processing, and electrodeposition. He obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from the Technion, Haifa, Israel. He joined the University of Rochester in 1982 and he serves as consultants to various industries. In 1993 he received the Carl Wagner Memorial Medal Award and in 1989 the Battery Research Award, both from the Electrochemical Society.
