Biography
Boyd researches optical physics, particularly the areas of nonlinear optical interactions, slow and fast light, nonlinear optical properties of materials, and applications of nonlinear optics including quantum and nonlinear optical imaging. He is the author of several books on optics, has published more than 230 research papers, and has been awarded six U.S. patents.
