Biography
Heather Layton is interested in contemporary art-making, drawing, painting, conceptual art, live art, intervention art, installation, community-based art, art diplomacy, art and activism. Her teachings in contemporary art include, art as activism, drawing, painting, and site-specific art. She is well-known for her public sculpture, such as her intervention project in 2005 that was designed in response to the 54 homicides that occurred in Rochester, New York.
