Biography
Cary Jensen is Senior Counsel and Director of the International Services Office at the University of Rochester. His duties include overseeing immigration and related services for more than 2200 foreign-born students and scholars currently studying and working at the University. Mr. Jensen previously served as Claims Counsel for United Educators Insurance RRG in Chevy Chase, MD. Prior to that he was associated with Rochester-based Nixon, Hargrave, Devans & Doyle (now Nixon Peabody) in the firm's Not-for-Profit/Educational Services Practice Group. Mr. Jensen received his J.D. degree cum laude from Brigham Young University; he also received a B.A. degree in English from BYU and taught Freshman English/Composition while attending law school. He is a member of the New York, Washington D.C. and U.S. Supreme Court bars. A trained mediator and arbitrator, he currently team-teaches a course on conflict resolution.
