Biography
Professor Creech received her Ph.D. in Germanic Studies from the University of Minnesota in 2006. She is an Assistant Professor of German in the Department of Modern Languages & Cultures and is an Affiliate Faculty member in the Film & Media Studies Program and the Susan B. Anthony Institute for Women's Studies. Her research and teaching interests include late 20th-century German literature, film and culture; cinema studies; Marxist and feminist theories. She has published and presented on East German, Austrian and post-unification cinema. Jenniferís current research explores the critical impulses in East German womenís films, and the revolutionary and reactionary aspects of post-unification representations of the East. Recent courses include: Cinema & Revolution, Hollywood Behind the Wall, 20th-century Gender & Sexuality, Marx & Marxism
