R World R Vote, a student designed panel at the University of Rochester, will sponsor a panel discussion titled "Is Identity the Issue? Gender, Religion, and Race in the '08 Elections." Panelists include Georgia Duerst-Lahti, professor of political science at Beloit College; Gerald Gamm, chair of the University of Rochester Department of Political Science and associate professor of Political Science and History; and Jose Cruz, a Monroe County legislator representing the 29th District.

The event is sponsored by R World R Vote, the Rochester Center for Community Leadership, the Frederick Douglass Institute for African and African-American Studies, The Humanities Project, the University's Department of Political Science, and the Susan B. Anthony Institute for Gender and Women's Studies. R World R Vote will continue to offer electoral programs from now until fall 2008.
