A panel of University of Rochester students who attended public school in Rochester will be joined by Rochester City School District Interim Superintendent William C. Cala to discuss pressing issues facing the district and ways the University could play a larger role in the lives of city students.

Entitled "Real Talk: The Struggles and Successes of the RCSD" and sponsored by the Black Students' Union, the discussion will be held Thursday, Dec. 6, at 6:30 p.m. in Dewey Hall 2-162 on the University's River Campus.

Rochester City School Board Vice President Malik Evans, whose board recently elected a new superintendent, will also be on the panel. The discussion will be moderated by Donna Harris, assistant professor of educational leadership at the Warner Graduate School of Education and Human Development, and Porschea Lewis, a University junior and graduate of the RCSD.
