WHAT: Comedian and actor Nick Offerman, star of NBC's Emmy-nominated comedy Parks & Recreation, will perform during the University of Rochester's Winterfest Weekend.

TIME, DATE, PLACE: 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, in Strong Auditorium on the University of Rochester's River Campus.

WHAT: Nick Offerman works alongside an impressive comedic cast of Amy Poehler, Rob Lowe, Rashida Jones, and Aziz Ansari on Parks and Recreation, playing the role of Ron Swanson, the bacon-loving masculine director of a parks and recreation department in small town Indiana. The role has developed a cult following and garnered Offerman the Television Critics Association Award for Achievement in Comedy in 2011 and a nomination for the Critic's Choice Awards for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy in 2011.

In addition to Parks and Recreation, he also can currently be seen on the big screen in Casa De Mi Padre with Will Ferrell and 21 Jump Street with Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. Offerman got his comedic start in the Chicago theater community before gaining roles on Deadwood, Will & Grace, Monk, The West Wing, 24, ER, George Lopez, NYPD Blue, The Practice, The King of Queens, Gilmore Girls, and CSI: NY.
