WHAT: The University of Rochester’s Center for Emerging and Innovative Sciences (CEIS) will host its 13th Annual University Technology Showcase on the afternoon of March 26.

The half-day event is filled with poster presentations by university researchers showcasing their research, and industry and government representatives outlining their needs and resources. The event will highlight up-and-coming technologies in optics, photonics, imaging, energy, biomedical technology, and many other areas. This is the only event of the year in Rochester that brings together researchers from the University of Rochester, RIT, and Cornell University to present their applied research to companies.

TIME, DATE AND PLACE: 1 – 5 p.m., Tuesday, Mar. 26, in the Doubletree Hotel, 1111 Jefferson Road, Rochester, NY.

BACKGROUND: Over the past 5 years, CEIS funding has been leveraged to generate over $400 million in economic impact and the creation of 120 new jobs.

Headquartered at the University of Rochester, CEIS is funded by the New York State Foundation for Science, Technology and Innovation (NYSTAR) through its Center for Advanced Technology program. It draws participation from a number of additional universities, including the Rochester Institute of Technology, Cornell University, the University of Buffalo, and Columbia University, some of which will also participate in the forum.
