The Financial Aid office offers the following reminders for students as the news school year begins:

• Students should bring money to campus to help pay for their books and supplies since financial aid is not always available to help with these items.

• Students should get into the habit of checking their University email because all financial aid information will be emailed to that address going forward. Financial aid information is only sent to the student, so parents should be sure to communicate with students about their  financial aid.

• Students who are planning on working at the University must complete an I-9 form before starting work. Part I of the I-9 must be completed by the student at www.i9express.com. Students should then schedule an appointment with their financial aid counselor to complete Part II of the online I-9. Students must bring original documentation to their appointment. The most common documents used are a driver’s license and original Social Security card, birth certificate or a certified copy, or a passport. The appointment should take about 5 to 10 minutes. The office is located in G13 Wallis Hall on the River Campus. Eastman students must visit the Financial Aid Office at Miller Place on Gibbs Street to complete their I-9.
