University Communications produces several electronic newsletters that serve the University community

New for 2016–17:

Student communications are undergoing a few changes  to ensure undergraduates are informed about crucial announcements and deadlines — and the events and programs that connect them to life at the University and the college experience.

Starting in fall 2016, Weekly Buzz is replaced by two communications vehicles for students — each with a distinct purpose.

Read This

This weekly email communication, managed by the College dean’s office, provides critical information to help students navigate the upcoming week. Each issue will be limited to a small number of announcements that are considered essential to students.

Frequency: Read This is emailed Sunday evenings to all College undergraduates

Deadline: Send story suggestions by noon on Thursdays. Submissions are subject to approval and editing.

The Report

The twice-monthly publication focuses on stories, announcements, and events that enhance student life at the University.

The publication’s purpose is to showcase the people, events, and programs that make life at Rochester great.  Academic news and select events, performances, lectures, as well as research and other enrichment opportunities for students are among the items featured.

The Report, which is managed by University Communications, accepts content suggestions from students, faculty, and staff.
