Clinical Research Coordinators(CRC) Certification

The Association of Clinical Research Professionals(ACRP) has developed a certification examination for CRCs. Certification is increasingly recognized by the pharmaceutical industry as an indication of professionalism. The examination is offered twice a year, in the spring and fall at select locations around the country.

The Office for Human Subject Protection (OHSP) promotes the benefits of certification. To date, over 90 University of Rochester CRCs have received certification. The OHSP reimburses the examination fee for all employees that receive a passing grade on the examination.

The Spring 2009 Exam will be held on March 7, 2009. The deadline for submitting applications has not yet been established.

The 2008 Candidate Handbooks with the exam applications is on the ACRP web site (http://www.acrpnet.org).
