Office of Research and Project Administration******* The CDC has released a new RFA for Special Interest Projects (SIPs) to be funded through the Prevention Research Center Program. SIPs are generally released once per year; only investigators at an institution that hosts one of the 33 Prevention Research Centers nationwide are eligible to apply. The SIPs are intended to design, test or disseminate effective prevention research strategies in a specific area of public health. Project titles for the 27 available SIPs are listed below. Funding amounts range from $100,000 per year to $1,000,000, and project periods range from 18 months to 5 years, depending on the project. Letters of intent are due April 17th, and applications are due May 15th. Details are available through grants.gov by clicking here. Only one application per SIP is allowable, so the UR Prevention Research Center may have to coordinate the application process to facilitate collaborations among interested investigators or choose among competing proposals. Please contact Thomas Fogg right away (thomas_fogg@urmc.rochester.edu) if you are interested in applying.
