Survey: Parental Involvement in Alcohol Education
At the University of Rochester we understand that student health and safety are essential components of student success. Through offices such as the Dean of Students at the College and at the Eastman School, we continually strive to enhance our services and education around a number of health and safety issues, including the use of alcohol. During the Spring 2009 semester a group of students, faculty, and staff from across the University formed our Standing Committee on Alcohol Policy and Education (SCAPE). The purpose of SCAPE is to evaluate our alcohol policies and educational efforts to ensure that they address the needs of our students.
During the Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 semesters, the group began gathering information from key members of the University community to better understand how members of our community view the use of alcohol on our campus. As parents of Rochester students your knowledge and insight are essential to this process.
Therefore, we invite you to complete a short survey designed to ascertain your thoughts about alcohol and your Rochester student. The survey should take less than 5 minutes to complete and will provide valuable information that SCAPE will use to improve the services provided to all students. We will share the information we have learned with you in an upcoming issue of Parents Buzz.
Thank you again for participating. You can take the survey here.
