Faculty and staff can now take advantage of the ability to pay for yearly bus passes for the Rochester Transit System (RTS) with pre-tax money through payroll deduction. By signing up for this new service, employees will use tax-free money to pay for the bus passes on a monthly basis. This not only spreads the cost out over 12 months, but results in a reduced taxable income, which in turn saves on taxes and increases take-home pay.
