Parking Tickets and Appeals

Why Tickets are Issued...

Tickets are issued for the following reasons:

Parking in a RESERVED or HANDICAPPED area without an appropriate designator
Parking in a NO PARKING area
Public safety hazards—blocking a fire lane, fire hydrant, crosswalk, doorway, or thoroughfare as well as blocking another vehicle or extending a parking row

Appeals

Appeals to violations may be made by bringing the violation to one of the parking offices in person, by mailing the violation to the address printed on the back of the violation, or by submitting the appeal through the web using our Parking online store. Violation appeals must be made within 7 to 10 days of issuance. Only those registered to park may appeal a ticket. Appeals for multiple tickets will not be accepted.

Repeat offenders who do not address their ticket fees will be wheel-locked. Flagrant violators will be towed at the owner's expense. Vehicles presenting an immediate public safety hazard (e.g., car leaking gasoline) will also be towed off-site at the owner's expense. Inoperative or unlicensed vehicles will be removed from University property as well.
