Additional Parking Services
For those visiting Strong Memorial Hospital and the University of Rochester's Medical Center, we offer a number of services to assist you:
- Discounted parking options for repeat customers. (These can be purchased at the Garage Parking Office, the Medical Center Parking Office, or the Cashier's Office)
- Assistance to patrons needing directions or aid getting around our facilities.
- Valet parking service at the Main Entrance of the hospital, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Pre-printed directions from our Ramp Garage to area expressways.
- Car-starts for vehicles with dead batteries.
- Tire inflation for cars that are low on air.
- Lock de-icer assistance is made available during the winter months.
- RTS bus passes can be purchased at our Medical Center and River Campus Parking Offices.
- Surveillance of our parking areas by security cameras and manned patrols.
Blue Light Phones
Blue-light Phones are located throughout the Medical Center and River Campus on the exteriors of academic buildings, residence halls, and apartment buildings, as well as in many of the parking lots. These phones dial directly into Security and indicate the caller's exact location. This insures immediate response from Security even if the caller is unable to communicate. Everyone is encouraged to use these Blue Light Phones to seek emergency assistance.
