UR Zipcar In The News: Car-sharing Benefits the Pocket, Environment
1. Join
Apply online. Once you're approved, you get your very own Zipcard.
TO BE ELIGIBLE YOU MUST:
- Be a student, faculty or staff of the University of Rochester
- Be over the age of 19 with three years of good driving history
2. Reserve
Reserve one (1) of five (5) cars - for a few hours or the entire day.

- Matrix Mileti
- Patrick Prius
- Matrix Mabus (Eastman School)
3. Unlock
Walk to the car, then hold your Zipcard to the windshield. The doors will unlock, and off you go!
(Your Zipcard will only open the car you've reserved during the time you've reserved it which
means no one else can open your Zipcar during that time).
4. Drive!
Drive away and return to the same reserved parking spot at the end of your reservation. And best yet—Gas, insurance, reserved parking and XM Satellite Radio are included too, as well as 24/7 roadside assistance if needed.
