EVENT: South Asian Expo
TIME, DATE, AND PLACE: 2 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 15, in the May Room of Wilson Commons on the University of Rochester's River Campus
ADMISSION: Admission is free and open to the public, with nominal cost for select activities.
Note: Parking is available on University lots all weekend.
The Association for the Development of Interest in the Indian Subcontinent
(ADITI) will present musical performances, fashions, food, and body art during
its South Asian Expo from 2 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 15, in the May Room of
Wilson Commons on the University of Rochester's River Campus.
The annual cultural fair, exhibiting the rich culture of South Asia, will include
interactive booths about South Asian history, sports, music, clothing, language,
religion, and art. Guests will also be entertained by a variety traditional
dance performances, a fashion show, and caricature art. Mendhi will be available
to anyone eager to experience the South Asian tradition of body art. During
the fair, Thali of India Restaurant will sell South Asian treats.
Admission to this event is free, with nominal cost for select activities, and
