EVENT: University of Rochester Wind Symphony and University Choir performance
TIME, DATE, AND PLACE: 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, in Strong Auditorium on the University of Rochester's River Campus.
ADMISSION: This event is free and open to the public.
Note: Free parking is available on University lots after 7 p.m. on weeknights
and all weekend.
The University of Rochester Wind Symphony and the University Choir, led by
conductor Cindi Johnston-Turner and director of choral activities Brett Scott,
will perform at 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, in Strong Auditorium on the River
Campus.
The repertoire of the joint "Chorales and Dances" concert will include
"Carols and Lullabies" by Conrad Susa, "Begrabnisgesang"
by Johannes Brahms, "Almighty Father" by Leonard Bernstein, "Chorale
and Alleluia" by Howard Hanson, "Chorale and Shaker Dance" by
John Zdechlik, and "Danza de los Duendes" by Nancy Galbraith. The
concert will also feature arrangements of various Christmas carols.
