Ann Benitz was promoted to legislative assistant for domestic policy for Congressman Bill Pascrell of New Jersey. . . . Kristina Castillo married Michael Gough July 20. She is a social worker at the Jewish Family Service of Buffalo and Erie County, and he is working on a medical degree at SUNY Buffalo. . . . Michael Lisman finished two years of Peace Corps service in the Dominican Republic and is starting graduate school at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts in September. He can be reached at miguellisman@hotmail. com. . . . Navy Reserve Ens. Nilay Patel completed the Navy’s Officer Indoctrination Course in Newport, R.I. . . . Christine Schaner married John Tooley Jr. on July 12. She is working toward her doctorate in biochemistry at Emory University, and he is a reporter for Forsyth County News in Cumming, Ga.

2001

Navy Ens. Ryan Meeuf completed his first solo flight in June. He is undergoing primary flight helicopter training at the Naval Air Station Whiting Field in Milton, Fla.

2002

Ryan Dacey was one of about 200 people given a special waiver to attend the Navy’s flight school as part of a study to determine whether flight students who have had photorefractive keratectomy—laser-corrected eye surgery—can meet aviation eyesight standards.
