1958
William Hammond (MD) writes that he is professor emeritus of pathology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. An avid amateur archaeologist, he was recently named to the board of directors of the Colorado Historical Society.

1963
Albert Wiley (MD) writes, “After my unsuccessful campaign last fall for a Democratic U.S. Senate seat representing North Carolina, I joined a federal radiological emergency response team in Oak Ridge, Tenn.”

1966
Julian Earls (Mas) has been named director of NASA’s Glenn Research Center. He was deputy director under Donald Campbell, who stepped down in August.

1969
Ellen Coser Perrin (Res), ’81RC (Mas) published Sexual Orientation in Child and Adolescent Health Care in 2002 and produced the video Somehow We’ll Make It Work: The Experiences of Children with a Chronic Health Condition and Their Families in 2003.

1971
Warren Howe (Res) (see ’62RC undergraduate). . . . Steven Newman (MD) was named president of Xybernaut, which creates wearable, hands-free computing devices.

1973
Stephen Farrand (PhD) was named a fellow in the American Academy of Microbiology. He is professor of crop sciences and microbiology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. . . . Oral maxillofacial surgeon Joseph Wasileski (Mas) was named Physician of the Year by Cortland (N.Y.) Memorial Hospital.

1979
Andrew Kleinman (MD) and Noela MacGinn were married on June 8 in Bedford, N.Y. Andrew, a plastic surgeon, practices in New Rochelle, N.Y., and Manhattan. He is president of the Westchester County Medical Society. Noela is a nurse practitioner.

1980
Wendy Schlessel Harpham (MD) is the author of Diagnosis: Cancer―Your Guide to the First Months of Healthy Survivorship. . . . Arthur Levin (PhD) is vice president of toxicology and pharmacokinetics at Isis Pharmaceuticals.

1986
Dolores Bacon (MD) writes, “I’ve just received an exciting promotion to the position of assistant dean at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. I am one of five advisory deans for the medical students.” She also was selected to be a member of the School of Medicine and Dentistry’s Alumni Council.

1997
Deborah Mlodynia Englert (MD), ’01 (Res) (see ’94RC undergraduate).

1999
Rebecca Poage (MD) has been awarded the John C. Rose medical editing fellowship from the American Academy of Family Physicians and has joined the staff of medical editors based at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. She recently completed a residency in family medicine at the Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa in California.
