2000

Brian Gottesman and his wife, Rachel, welcomed their first child, Serena Danielle, in April. Brian continues to practice law at Connolly Bove Lodge & Hutz in Wilmington, Del. In addition, he has written a historical fiction series, Saga, currently in development as a comic book series with Archaia Studios Press.

2001

Todd Pipitone, the marketing coordinator at Hillside Family of Agencies in Rochester, passed the exam for Accreditation in Public Relations, earning him the APR professional designation. The exam is administered by the Universal Accreditation Board, a consortium of nine professional communications organizations. . . . Timothy Salmon has joined the New York office of Troutman Sanders as an intellectual property attorney. His practice is focused on patent litigation in federal courts and before the International Trade Commission. . . . Tanya Brittingham sends a photo with news that she and Matthew Carson ’02 were married in April in Paoli, Pa., and now live in Arlington, Va. Brenna Simons earned a doctorate in microbiology and immunology from Vanderbilt University in May. . . . Christina Boice and Lonny Mallach send a photo from their July wedding. Christina writes that Lonny’s parents, David Mallach ’69 and Dena Beck Mallach ’69, were also Rochester college sweethearts, as were her parents, John (Jack) Boice ’73M (MD) and Sylvia Person Boice ’70. Charles Cohn earned a doctor of medicine degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in May. He will spend the next year in a preliminary program in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, followed by a residency in ophthalmology at Texas Tech University’s affiliated hospitals in Lubbock. . . . Aaron Carpenter ’06 (MS) and Angela Lee ’05E, ’07E (MA) were married in August in Rochester. Many Rochester alumni joined in the celebration, including bridal party members Michael Borden ’06 (MS), Lyris Pat ’05E, ’06E (MA), and Allison Dains ’07E (MM). Aaron and Angela live in Rochester, where Aaron is a PhD student at the University and Angela is a vocal music teacher in Pittsford, N.Y. . . . Katherine O’Brien and Jason Myszka ’06 send a photo from their June wedding in Buffalo. They are living in Houston, where Katherine is completing her PhD in clinical neuropsychology at the University of Houston and Jason is a police officer with the Houston Police Department and pursuing his master’s degree in criminal justice leadership and management at Sam Houston State University. George Tillotson is an engineer at Res-Q-Jack, a designer and manufacturer of vehicle stabilization mechanisms in Elmira, N.Y. . . . Erica Gelb competed in her third Maccabi Games, an international sporting event held every four years in Israel. She played on the U.S. field hockey team, which won the silver medal after being defeated by Holland in the final match.
