Enterprise Data Warehouse

The University of Rochester’s Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) aims to centralize administrative data from across the institution. Centralizing this information helps support data-driven decision-making and planning throughout the institution.

EDW is a data repository that integrates data from the following systems:

• Finance
• Grant Management
• Payroll
• Human Resources
• Advancement
• Faculty
• Student

As a result, EDW provides appropriate access to data across the organization at all levels. Users can easily find information in reports and dashboards. You can also leverage reporting and visualization tools from IBM Cognos and Tableau for self-service reporting and analysis. 

EDW continues to expand its catalog of information, reports, dashboards, and tools. In 2017, we added data from University Financials, Financial Aid, and Dun & Bradstreet (a business data repository). We also introduced the UR Data Glossary for definitions and context.
