Search Committee Commitment

We, the search committee for the dean of the University of Rochester's School of Nursing, commit to the task of selecting candidates who have the vision and resourcefulness to further augment the positive trajectory of the school in its education, research, and clinical missions. We seek leaders who will not only enhance the external reputation of the School of Nursing, but who will also be innovative in increasing the school's stature and integration within the University of Rochester Medical Center and the university as a whole. We agree to remain focused and consistent in our efforts, with a target date of July 2008 or before for final selections. In that process we are committed to exercising the highest degree of care, integrity, and confidentiality in our process and to maintaining a climate of openness and cooperation with each other and with all of the candidates. Together we concur with the importance of fairness in hiring and the promotion of diversity within our university leadership and community.
