How does the University’s new graphic identity affect ordering stationery and business cards?
The University is working with Oser Press to develop a new online ordering system to incorporate the new graphic standards. Until the new system is in place, the interim procedures for ordering stationery and business cards are as follows:
All University units outside the Medical Center who have been using Oser Press's online ordering system to produce their stationery and business cards will, for the time being, place orders by submitting a 312 requisition to Box 306 or faxing a requisition to Oser Press at 442-7052. When submitting your requisition, please include the information to be printed on the stationery or business cards. Oser Press will then create your order to meet the new standards and e-mail you PDF proofs of what your stationery will look like within 3-5 days. Your order will be delivered within 5-10 business days after approval.
All units currently using University of Rochester Medical Center stationery and business cards will continue to order those items through Oser Press, using the online ordering system. The Medical Center modules of the new online ordering system will be added to the system after the Medical Center has completed its branding process. Order limited quantities.
For the highest quality presentation, we strongly encourage the use of two-color, preprinted, watermarked, recycled stationery. However, we understand that there are times when the only way to send an official correspondence is via e-mail. In that case, contact Publications Services at (585) 275-4121, or e-mail Steve Reynolds or Michael Osadciw. We will design a Word template for your needs that incorporates the University logo, in B&W, and the information from your standard pre-printed letterhead.
To ensure the highest—and only acceptable—level of quality for your B&W digital letterhead, you must have the full version of Adobe Acrobat (not Adobe Reader) installed on your computer to enable the Word template to reproduce properly.
Do not attempt to create your own digital letterhead or other stationery products, or to use a copier to duplicate the University’s letterhead. Pre-printed letterhead is safe to load in laser and inkjet printers, as well as photocopiers.
