List of descriptions and agendas of in-service implementations (F2)
These documents provide information about the four in-service implementations featured in these materials. Choose from the following list the implementation you are interested in, and whether you would like to examine a brief description (containing information about the participants, the incentive provided to them, the main variations that took place in the Summer Institute and Follow-up meetings compared to the story reported in Section B.2, the field experiences expectations and the support provided during these field experiences) and/or the detailed "agendas" (listing chronologically all the professional development activities that comprised that implementation):
  • In service Implementation A

(first implementation; participants were all in-service teachers; Summer Institute included only one experience as learner and extended time for planning; support by school facilitators was school-based and included intensive classroom observations plus weekly school-based meetings)

description agendas
  • In service Implementation B

(described in Section B.2; participants included in-service and a few other educators; Summer Institute included two full experiences as learners and some time for planning; support by school facilitators included some classroom observations plus weekly regionally-based meetings)

description agendas
  • In service Implementation C

(essentially the same as Implementation B as participants in Implementation B and C were combined for all components of the program except the Summer Institute, and only minor revisions were made to the Summer Institute which took place later in the same summer as Implementation B)

description agendas
  • In service Implementation D

(first component of a multi-year "Local Systemic Change" project involving four middle schools; Summer Institute and field experiences expectations similar to Implementation B/C; individual and school-wide support provided by a school facilitator at each school site)
