Browser Recommendations for
Online Registration

Online Registration has been tested using a variety of popular browsers on two major platforms – MacOS and Windows. At this time, Linux is not officially supported, though Netscape 7.1 running on RedHat and similar variants works with Online Registration.

Information Technology Services (ITS) recommends using the newest browser possible for your platform before trying to log in to the system. If you need help upgrading your browser, please contact the ITS Center at x5-2000.

Windows 98/2000/XP
Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher
Netscape 7.1 or higher
Opera 7.0 or higher
MacOS X
Netscape 7.1 or higher
Safari 1.0 (v82) or higher
Internet Explorer 5.1 or higher
Opera 7.0 or higher

Other newer browsers such as Chimera, Camino, iCab and Firebird have not been consistent in our testing efforts and should be avoided for use with Online Registration at this time.

Online Registration uses pop-up windows to display certain elements of the registration process and testing has found that pop-up blocking software can stop these windows from appearing. We recommend disabling pop-up blocking software during the registration process to ensure the proper function of the system.

Important Note:

In order for the application to perform correctly you must have cookies enabled and JavaScript turned on. Both of these are enabled by default on most browsers, so there should be no need to adjust your settings unless you have previously turned either or both features off.

Additionally, please take a look at the NetID informational page if you will use your NetID and password to login.
