Office for Residential Life and Housing Services

Room Assignments

When making room assignments, we try to take into consideration the preferences you indicate on your Application/Contract and related materials. Due to high demand for certain spaces, however, we may only be able to honor your second or third preference. Rooms are restricted on the basis of gender only. We do not collect information, assign rooms, or make room changes on the basis of race, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, or other such factors. We do have specially designed facilities for those with physical disabilities that require such facilities. Students with medical concerns that require special housing placement should contact the Residential Life Office immediately. We will provide information on the required medical review process by the University Health Service to secure special placement.

When you return as a sophomore, you will be able to select your room and roommate as part of the room drawing process.
