RUCKUS

Why Ruckus?

Why is the University of Rochester changing to the Ruckus music service?

A number of universities and colleges are reconsidering their music services and moving to Ruckus. We've already seen one music service leave the business (Ctrax) because of this type of competition. Ruckus is currently the faster growing subscription service for college students. We did not want to be in the position of having no legal music service available to students. Ruckus is a very competitive and comparable service to those that we were already using and feel that this is the right position to be in at this time.

What if I want to continue to use my existing music service?

If you are using Ctrax, the company Cdigix is leaving the music subscription business. As of May 1, 2007, the Ctrax service is no longer going to be available.

If you are a Napster user, you are more than welcome to continue to use their service. You would need to pay their monthly subscription service fee. Visit http://www.napster.com for more information.
