AIDS Remembrance Quilt Display
February 22nd, 2017 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Hawkins-Carlson Room, Rush Rhees Library
In 1994, the University of Rochester created a section of quilt for the NAMES Project’s AIDS Memorial Quilt. University of Rochester students and community members signed the panels with messages in remembrance of loved ones and words of encouragement for the future.
Dr. WIlliam Valenti from Trillium Health and Dr. Michael Keefer from URMC’s Rochester Victory Alliance will speak about the quilt and the impact of AIDS in the Rochester community. Light refreshments will also be served.
Parking will be available in Library Lot from 3:30 p.m. to the conclusion of the event. Parking spaces will be demarcated by traffic cones.
The quilt will be on display from February 18th through the 26th in Evans Lam Square, Rush Rhees Library.
