Legacy Award Ceremony 2016

“Honoring Tomorrow’s Leaders”
Join us for a 60-year tradition to celebrate of the achievements of women in the University of Rochester community and Susan B. Anthony’s Birthday. The brunch is sponsored by the UR Women’s Club and the Susan B. Anthony Center.

The 2016 Susan B. Anthony Legacy Brunch was held on Saturday, February 6th, at 11:00 AM in the Staybridge Suites, located on 1000 Genesee Street, Rochester, NY. The dinner is an annual celebration of the achievements of women in the University of Rochester community and is sponsored by the UR Women’s Club and the Anthony Center. Music to Celebrate Courageous Women by The Arvine Quartet.

Keynote Address by Tiffany Taylor Smith, M.S., Ed.D.

About Tiffany Taylor Smith:
Tiffany Taylor Smith, M.S. Ed. is founder of Culture Learning Partners, a consulting firm focused on working with schools, businesses and community organizations on building better cross-cultural relationships and cultural awareness.  She received her Master’s Degree in Education specializing in Counseling and Personnel Services from Fordham University and Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Rochester.  Prior to consulting she spent 10 years in human resource development, diversity, and sales management at Procter & Gamble. One of her final projects with P&G was to develop an internal system designed to retain and develop minority and women employees. Ms. Taylor Smith has presented and spoken about cultural competence and cultural conversations at conferences and workshops around the country. She is also currently working as an adjunct professor in child, adolescent and social psychology at Kean University. Ms. Taylor Smith has presented and spoken about cultural competence at conferences and workshops around the country. And co-authored an article published in Independent School magazine summer 2011 titled, “Embracing Culture, Teaching Change Strategies for Professional Development and Personal Growth.” Her upcoming book, “Welcome to America: The Unwritten Rules of Success in U.S. Culture” will be released in early 2016. Mrs. Taylor Smith resides in northern New Jersey, with her husband, Rick’92, and three daughters.
