Rochester Athletics – Sophomore Nick Palladino has been selected as the co-University Athletic Association Golfer of the Week after his performance at the Fred B. Kravetz Invitational last weekend.
He finished third overall with a 36-hole total of 154. He fired a 78 on Friday at the Irondequoit Country Club and followed that with a 76 under rainy conditions at Oak Hill Country Club’s East Course. His total left him one stroke shy of creating a three-way tie for the individual title.
Palladino was one of six golfers to break 80 on both days of the event. A total of 35 people took part in the Kravetz – five golfers from each of six schools and five individuals. The six competing institutions were Nebraska Wesleyan, McDaniel, Franklin & Marshall, Carnegie Mellon, Rochester, and NYU.
