Marie T. Sergent, Ph.D.

Dr. Marie Sergent completed her undergraduate training in psychology at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1983 and a received a Masters degree in Community Counseling from the University of Maryland in 1985. In 1991 she obtained her doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Maryland. She completed her internship at the University of Maryland Counseling Center. She subsequently worked for five years as a Staff Psychologist and Adjunct Faculty member in Psychology at Loyola College in Baltimore, where she also had a part-time private practice. She has completed specialty training in the areas of marriage and family therapy, treatment of psychological trauma, group work, and eating disorders.

Dr. Sergent currently maintains a fulltime private practice, providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and groups, and psychotherapy supervision to colleagues.
