This well organized and practical book focuses on addressing the disorganization that often arises for people with attention deficit disorder (ADD). Written by a professional organizer and by an expert on ADD, the book offers a considerable variety of specially tailored strategies that target challenges present for people with ADD, including prioritizing, forgetfulness, and time awareness. Title: Journeys Through ADDulthood
Author: Sari Solden
Publisher: New York: Walker & Company
Publication Date: 2002
ISBN: 0802713769

Written by a woman with ADHD who also treats people with ADHD, this book includes education about ADHD, its treatment, and the process of accepting and learning to live with the diagnosis. She uses examples of people with ADHD, including herself to illustrate this process. Her approach is very validating and pragmatic; she offers exercises at the end of each chapter for reflection, and offers strategies and ideas for coping with the symptoms of ADHD.
