Mindfulness & Meditation Workshop – Mindfulness & Meditation is a 4-week workshop where you will cultivate mindfulness and meditation skills. Through learning how to be more mindful, you may experience less stress, better sleep and less self-judgment. Registration is required. Wednesdays and Fridays in February
Light Therapy with UCC – Learn about the benefits of light therapy to help beat the winter blues. Also, pick up a Pay it Forward Card from the Health Promotion table and take part in this fun, community engagement activity. We’ll be in Wilson Commons during the Winterfest activities. Saturday, February 3rd / Wilson Commons (4:00 – 7:00)
Comfort Food Dinner – Head down to Danforth or the Student Living Center Dining Hall at Eastman for a heart warming comfort food dinner! Enjoy all the favorites such as roasted chicken & mashed potatoes, baked mac & cheese, spaghetti and meatballs, and apple pie. Vegan and vegetarian options, too! Tuesday, February 6th (5:00 – 7:00)
College Sleep: From Zzzzs to Az – Is poor sleep quality or not enough sleep getting in the way of your success as a student? Come and learn about the issues college students struggle with most, like a challenging sleep environment, too much caffeine, and an over-scheduled social calendar. This program is also part of our new 21 Day Sleep Challenge. Thursday, February 8th / UHS Classroom 220 (4:00 – 5:00) and Friday, February 23rd / Havens Lounge in Wilson Commons (4:00 – 5:00)
Pop-Up Meditation – Need a study break? Time to get zen with our Peer Health Advocates! We’ll be taking just a few mindful moments to pause, find our breath, and refocus for more productive studying. Tuesday, February 13th / Treasure Room near Q&I in Rush Rhees Library (7:00 – 7:30)
Self-Exploration with Professor Deci – Come enjoy an evening of self-exploration. Using experiential exercises to guide this interactive conversation, Professor Deci will help attendees gain insight into how to achieve well-being. You are sure to leave this program with a better understanding of yourself and your well-being. Friday, February 16th / LeChase Hall Genrich-Rusling Room (5:00 – 6:00)
Eating Disorders Screening with UCC – Do you have a healthy relationship with food? Are you concerned about a friend’s or teammate’s possible eating disorder? The University Counseling Center invites you to stop by for a brief screening with one of their trained therapists so you can have your questions answered. Thursday, February 22nd / Friel Lounge in Susan B. Anthony Residence Hall (11:00 – 12:45) and Goergen Athletic Center (5:00 – 6:30)
Take a Beach Break – Time to take a much needed break! Join us for a beach-themed study break. We’ll have lots of stress-relieving activities including board games, kinetic sand, coloring books, herbal tea, and more! Wednesday, February 14th / The Pit in the Student Living Center at Eastman (7:00 – 9:00) AND Thursday, February 22nd / Havens Lounge in Wilson Commons (7:00 – 8:30)
Day of the Dogs – Are you an animal lover? Then come on down to cuddle with the dogs! Pet therapy is known to decrease stress and anxiety and improve mood. We’ll also have stress reducing giveaways like lavender sachets and inspirational quote cards. Monday, February 26th / Goergen Athletic Center (6:00 – 7:30) and Hawkins-Carlson Room in Rush Rhees Library (8:00 – 9:30)

Hatha Yoga Club – Join the Hatha Yoga Club every Friday from 2:30 – 3:45 in the MAC room in the Goergen Athletic Center. See their CCC page for more details and cost.
Workout Wednesdays / Yoga at GAC – Take a yoga class in the Goergen Athletic Center every Wednesday from 6:00 – 7:30. Other fitness classes are also available throughout the week. Free for all matriculated full-time students.
