Reid Cunningham

Reid comes to the University as a registered patent attorney with 4 years in private patent practice and 16 years with Xerox Corp. based primarily here in Rochester.  At Xerox he engaged in the legal practice of intellectual property on an international basis supporting licensing worldwide and living for 4 years in the UK where he counseled a large research organization. He looks to use his experience working with research and development in a corporate environment with UR’s inventors on commercializing technologies that arise from their work.  In addition, Reid is a certified Lean Six Sigma blackbelt and will use his training to streamline and improve the patenting process here at UR.  Finally, as a former physics teacher and having previously conduct extension training for technical communities, he is excited about opportunities to provide education on IP and related matters to the students and members of UR staff.
