Sharon Tettegah, Ph.D., Assistant Professor Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, and the SIMED investigate various aspects of classroom teaching and learning using multimedia simulations and virtual reality environments.

The Intercultural Cross Cultural Teaching Portal aims to establish communities of diverse P-16 educators, service professionals and students who are learning, working, teaching or preparing to teach in a professional educational environment.In addition to the ICCTP we have developed and designed Clover, an authoring tool that engages students and teachers in a technology-rich design process to construct animated narrative vignettes (simulations) that deal with school interactions. The tools leads students through the process of constructing a vignette - writing a narrative, writing a script, sketching characters and scenes, animating scenes, and responding to vignettes created by other students [Tettegah, 2002, 2003, 2004].
