Doctoral Students Present Research
Students in Doctoral Research Methods, taught by Nancy Ares,
assistant professor, teaching and curriculum, held a poster
session in December. The session was a culmination of semester-long
work in the course where students presented on a topic related
to their doctoral studies.
Counseling and Human Development
Admissions Days Scheduled
Admissions days will be held for counseling and human development
on February 13 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and on February 20,
from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event is for master's applicants
for the February cycle only. The Admissions Office will be
making calls following the February 1 deadline.
Bannister Presents at Downtown Community Forum
Iris Bannister, doctoral student in counseling and human development,
gave the presentation "Surviving the Holidays Series
2003: The Way It Used to Be: Where is the Joy?" at the
Downtown Community Forum in December. The presentation focused
on ways for people to overcome grief and depression over the
holiday season. Bannister is an associate minister at St.
Luke Tabernacle Community Church and serves on the board of
directors of several community-based social and civic organizations.
