Catholic School Administration Specialization
Today's Catholic schools need creative, committed administrators.
Fostering the teaching of gospel values, building Christian
community, and opening the school to the service of the civic
community are tasks facilitated by the ministry of administrators.
The purpose of the Catholic School Leadership Program is to
provide opportunities for the development of the administrative
and interpersonal skills needed by leaders in Catholic education.
Courses and other learning experiences are grounded in those
principles that must permeate any school that calls itself
Catholic.
With this specific framework, all facets of educational leadership
are explored; from school finance and law to the research
and theories of school reform and organizational change. At
the Warner School, leaders develop the skills necessary to
motivate and empower others to shape a shared vision, to manage
an educational enterprise effectively and ethically, and to
improve themselves as leaders.
When this knowledge is combined with thoughtful administrative
internships to get hands-on experience, coursework that emphasizes
using cases and job-related research projects, and a strong
focus on the unique features philosophy, and concerns of Catholic
schools, students experience a powerful education in Catholic
school leadership. A careful balance of theory and practice,
in fact, sets Warner's program apart from others.
Warner's Catholic School Leadership programs feature:
- Stimulating, challenging, state-of-the-art classes.
Faculty that includes recognized subject area specialists
and practicing administrators.
