Teaching & Curriculum Master's Degrees

Master of Science (M.S.) in Teaching & Curriculum (without teaching certification)
(ISIS code: TC1)

This M.S. in Teaching and Curriculum is designed for graduate students who are interested in further study of teaching, learning, and schooling but who do not seek a teaching certificate from New York State (unless they are teachers who received their NYS Provisional Certification prior to 2004 and seek permanent certification in their area before 2011). This degree program allows you maximum flexibility in designing an individualized course of study, as there are a minimum of required courses. Moreover, you have the option to design independent study courses, based on participation in ongoing school-based research and/or reforms conducted by Teaching and Curriculum faculty.

An important feature of this program is that as a full-time student you can complete it in 12 months; (three semesters, including one summer), or in some cases two semesters. Part-time students are also welcome, and in fact form the majority of the student population in this program.

Requirements
The program requires 30 graduate credits of coursework. You can enter the program in any semester (Fall, Spring, or Summer).
