Programs Preparing Entry-Level Math Teachers

Whether you are looking for the Basic Program to complete requirements, a Dual Certification in inclusive education, or if you are seeking an M.A.T. to strengthen your background in mathematics while obtaining your basic NYS certification, we have a program that will help you gain more than just credentials.

Middle Childhood (grades 5-9)

Middle Childhood (MC), grades 5-9
Basic Program (TM1)
M.S. degree leading to NYS Initial + Professional Certification in Middle Childhood as specialist in Mathematics.
Length: 39 credits, 15 months (full time)
Program of Study & Course Sequence TM1

Inclusive Education/Dual Certification (TM2)
M.S. degree leading to NYS Initial + Professional Certification in Middle Childhood AND NYS Initial + Professional Certification for Teaching Students with Disabilities in Middle Childhood as a specialist in Mathematics.
Length: 51 credits 2 years (1 part time, 1 full time)
