As part of the University of Rochester, a top-ranked research
university, a key difference of the Warner School is its commitment
to research. The Warner School is very aware of the evolving
needs of the educating professions, and through research,
we are committed to improving practice and knowledge.
Our faculty and students are involved in important research
projects and initiatives that change the face of education
and human development. For faculty and students alike, research
is one of the powerful tools we use to improve practice, whether
it be on the front-line as teachers, or at the level of policy
reform, curriculum development, or school administration.
And through collaboration and combining research, theory,
and practice, Warner faculty and students further their fields
and become agents of change for the improvement of schools
and communities. Learn more about Projects.
Another powerful asset is the Warner
Center for Professional Development and Education Reform,
which works with educational institutions to support the cause
of education reform and to encourage the preparation and ongoing
education of excellent teachers. Through research and professional
development opportunities, the Warner Center serves as a catalyst
to initiate new practices, new understandings, and new work
in areas of education.
