Senior Wins Marshall Scholarship

Mos Def Talk Rescheduled to Dec. 12

Online Course Evaluations
Online course evaluations for the College continue through the last day of classes, Dec. 13. Evaluations, which take about five minutes to complete, provide important information to faculty and students for upcoming semesters. Consider completing an evaluation for each of your courses. Last Day of Classes
The last day of classes for College students is Thursday, Dec. 13, with finals starting on Sunday, Dec. 16. Classes end at Eastman on Monday, Dec. 17, and exams start Wednesday, Dec. 19.  

Name That Yellowjacket
There' still time to submit your suggestion for the new mascot's name. Submissions can be made through Dec. 14 using the online form or via suggestion boxes located at the Eastman School and on the River Campus. A committee of students, faculty, and staff will review the suggestions and select the top five. Voting for the final selection will begin in January. 

Dining This Week
SPECIAL EVENTS: There will be a holiday lunch buffet at the Meliora Restaurant on Dec. 11 and 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. WinterFEST returns to Eastman on Dec. 12 and Danforth on Dec. 13. Don't miss the free Late Night Breakfast in Hirst Lounge from 9-10:30 p.m. on Dec. 16.

WINTER BREAK HOURS: Final exam and winter break hours begin for dining on Friday, Dec. 14.

GRAND OPENING: Dining's newest location, Connections, opens at 7 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, in the recently renovated section of Rush Rhees Library. Stop by for local fare, including coffee, pastries, smoothies, and more. Open 24 hours through finals week. Read more...

Men's Basketball:The undefeated Yellowjackets travel to RIT on Dec. 11 and host their last home game this month on Dec. 14.

Swimming & Diving :The men's team successfully defended its Liberty League championship by winning the team title at Union College on Dec. 1. The women's team finished third.

"University of Rochester Offers Annual Scholarships to City Students"
"I look forward to not just a few but hundreds of students coming through this door and treating this as . . . their avenue to greater things beyond," said Director of Admissions Jonathan Burdick during the Dec. 5 announcement of the Rochester Promise initiative. The program will provide $100,000 scholarships to Rochester high school graduates admitted to the University.   Read more...
