UR Ballroom Club is offering a crash course in ballroom dancing on Monday, Nov. 5, from 7-10 p.m. in the May Room of Wilson Commons. The cost is $3 a couple or $2 for individual undergraduates.

Improving Campus Bus Service
University Parking and Transportation staff are working with partner First Transit to improve campus bus service. Increased ridership and unexpected start-up issues have resulted in scheduling and reliability problems. Parking and Transportation staff began riding selected bus routes on Oct. 24 and will continue indefinitely to assist First Transit in identifying and correcting service issues. Students are encouraged to send specific complaints or suggestions for improvement to Glen Sicard at gsicard@facilities.rochester.edu or Box 270485, or riders can talk to one of the transportation staff members on the buses.

College: Spring Registration Starts Monday
Registration for Spring 2008 begins Monday, Nov. 5, for seniors and double degree students. Juniors can register beginning Nov. 6 and sophomores on Nov. 7. All start times are 8 a.m.
Freshmen will register on Friday, Nov. 9. Those with birthdays between May 1 and August 31 at 8 a.m.; those between Sept. 1 and Dec. 31 at 9 a.m., and those between Jan. 1 and April 30 at 10 a.m. Questions can be directed to the registrar at 275-8131 or registrar@mail.rochester.edu.
SA Town Hall Meeting: Strategic Plan
Dean Peter Lennie and Dean Richard Feldman will discuss the 10-year strategic plan on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the Gowen Room of Wilson Commons. Will the student body grow? What majors will be added? What's being done to increase diversity? These are some of the question that will be discussed.

Concert Spotlights Three Eastman Women Composers
Eastman Composers Sinfonietta will present new works by three Eastman graduate women composers from around the world at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, in Kilbourn Hall. The Sinfonietta is the only ensemble at Eastman exclusively dedicated to premiering new works by Eastman's up-and-coming graduate composers.

All College seniors are invited to nominate one of their high school teachers for the Singer Family Prize for Excellence in Secondary School Teaching. The awards will go to teachers who significantly influenced one (or more) graduating seniors. Eastman Dental Offers Free Screenings
The Eastman Dental Center is offering free periodontal disease screenings for all students in November and December. The screenings will be held on Monday and Friday mornings and all day on Thursdays. Facilities Wants Feedback
River Campus Facilities Operations is implementing an online customer satisfaction survey beginning Nov. 1. Customers will receive an e-mail when a work order (service request) is completed. The e-mail will include a link to an online satisfaction questionnaire. The service will be available to all faculty, staff, and students submitting service requests via the online service center or by calling the Customer Service Center at 273-4567.
