Dining Responds to Student Feedback
Based on feedback from students, dining will make the following changes:
- In Douglass Dining, burritos will be a clubbable entree option at Tortilla Fresca. Wraps are being added to the Salad Garden as a clubbable entree option.
- In Wilson Commons, bagels and cereal are returning and both will be clubbable entree options. A toaster will be available in The Pit as well.
- In all club meal locations, a 16 oz. soup/chili will be a clubbable entree option. The 12 oz. soup/chili will be a clubbable side option.
- In all club meal locations, the clubbable beverage size for juice and soda will increase to 24 oz. You will have the option of a 16 oz. beverage as a clubbable option if you choose.
- Soy milk and soy yogurt are clubbable options.

The University's annual safety report is available online at www.security.rochester.edu. Copies will be mailed to students by Oct. 1. They also can be requested by calling 275-3437.
New Community Leadership Internships
Applications are being accepted for four new community leadership internships. The opportunities this fall include working at the George Eastman House; assisting the Chief of Staff's Office, Mayer's Office, and City Hall with a literacy campaign; helping to coordinate a neighborhood Super Block program; and working with City Hall's Communications Bureau. Candidates are expected to work 10-12 hours a week on site during the fall semester. Read more...
Canadian Brass Returns to Eastman
Audience favorite Canadian Brass will join the Eastman Wind Ensemble at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, in the Eastman Theatre for a concert kicking off the ensemble's recording for their new CD Manhattan Music. Read more...
Be the Change Day
Students are invited to take part in "Be the Change Day" on Saturday, Sept. 29. Volunteers will assist with special projects at Foodlink. The day includes a free brunch at 10:30 a.m. in Douglass Dining Center and a 4 p.m. dinner on the banks of the Genesee featuring live entertainment and an address my Mayor Robert Duffy. Stop by the Hirst Lounge in Wilson Commons on Wednesday, Sept. 26, between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. for a specially priced breakfast beverage and treat. NASA Research Program
NASA-USRP offers undergraduate students across the United States internships at NASA centers. Rising sophomore, junior, and senior students in the disciplines of engineering, math, computer science, and life/physical sciences may apply for a 10-week summer session or a 15-week spring or fall session. 2011 Class Dinner
The Class of 2011 Dinner on Wednesday, Sept. 26, in Danforth Dining Center will feature a special "Tastes of Rochester" menu. Meet the newly elected 2011 senators and Class Council members.

Bowling Technology Contest
The United States Bowling Congress is offering the chance to influence the future of bowling through a technology contest. The winning individual or team will receive $5,000 for submitting the best design for a device that can measure the amount of friction on a bowling lane. The deadline for submissions is Dec. 10. More than 35 of the nation's leading authorities on the Underground Railroad will convene in Rochester on Sept. 28 to 30 for the Frederick Douglass International Underground Railroad Conference and Freedom Festival.
