Fall for Nonviolence Kickoff
Enjoy live student performances, readings, and more on Oct. 1, in Hirst Lounge of Wilson Commons at 4 p.m. Opening remarks by Arun Gandhi. Refreshments and cake provided. The event is the first in a series to celebrate the arrival of the M.K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence.  

Printing Via UR Wireless
Students can now print to any of the UR Printing (pay-for-print) equipped locations from any computer that uses the University network—both wired and wireless. Installation packages for both OSX and Windows are available via the UR Printing Web site.    Read more...

College: Drop/Add Deadline
Monday, Oct. 1, is the last day to drop/add courses for the fall semester. Additionally, it is the final day to declare S/F for upperclassmen. Freshmen and first semester transfers have until the end of the 13th week of the semester to declare S/F.    Read more...

Special Eastman Event Tonight
Musician Stacey Steele presents pictures and stories from her trip to Kosovo in a talk tonight at 7 p.m. titled "Teaching Peace to Children of War." The event in Eastman 305 is cosponsored by Eastman's MENC Chapter and Eastman Students for Social and Political Awareness.

Memorial Reception for Katie McManus
The International Theatre Program is hosting an informal reception to gather "In Memory of Katie" on Thursday, Oct. 4, at 6 p.m. in Todd Theatre Lobby in Todd Union. Katie McManus '07 died in a car accident in August. All are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served. There will be a small display of photos and memorabilia. To lend a personal photo or memento, drop it off to Katie Farrell at Todd 107.   

HPV Vaccine Clinic
The University Health Service is holding an HPV Vaccine Clinic on Thursday, Oct. 4, from 3-6 p.m. in the UHS office in Susan B. Anthony. This clinic is for students who would like to receive the vaccine. A nurse practitioner will be available to answer questions.   Read more...

Harvest Week
Dining Services is celebrating the week with several special events. On Tuesday, Oct. 2, Danforth will be holding "Apple Fest" during dinner with several dishes prepared with fresh New York State apples as well as a caramel apple dipping station. Thursday, Oct. 4, there will be a Restaurant Night in the Meliora beginning at 5:30 p.m. Also on Thursday there will be a premium dinner in Danforth Dining Center. Paid Technical Internships
IAESTE United States is now accepting applications for the 2008 Internship Program that places university students into paid technical internships around the world. Internships are open to college sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students pursuing a degree in science, engineering, mathematics, architecture, computer science, or other technical fields.
